Taprap Internet – Terms of Service

This Terms of Service (the “Agreement”) governs the provision of internet services (“Service”) by Taprap, herein referred to as “the Provider,” to any individual or entity (“the Client”) subscribing to or using Taprap’s services.


1. Service Provision

1.1 The Provider shall supply broadband internet access to the Client based on the selected subscription plan.

1.2 Service availability is subject to network coverage, technical feasibility, and infrastructure access.


2. Subscription and Payment

2.1 Clients must complete a subscription request and agree to this Agreement prior to activation.

2.2 Monthly subscription fees are payable in advance, on or before the due date. Services may be suspended or terminated for non-payment without prior notice.

2.3 All payments made are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in writing by the Provider.


3. Installation and Setup

3.1 A one-time setup fee may be charged for installation, activation, and configuration.

3.2 Payment of the setup fee does not confer ownership of any hardware or equipment installed.

3.3 Setup includes, where applicable, radios, routers, mounts, power injectors, and cabling.


4. Equipment Lease and Ownership

4.1 All equipment provided remains the exclusive property of the Provider unless explicitly sold and documented.

4.2 Equipment is leased to the Client for the duration of an active subscription and shall be used solely for its intended purpose.

4.3 The Client shall not sell, modify, relocate, or tamper with the equipment without the Provider’s prior written consent.

4.4 The Client is responsible for safeguarding the equipment against damage, loss, theft, or environmental hazards, including but not limited to:

  • Power surges or high voltage,

  • Lightning strikes,

  • Improper grounding or unsafe power supply conditions.

4.5 The Provider strongly recommends the use of surge protectors and proper electrical grounding at the installation site. The Client shall bear the cost of repair or replacement resulting from negligence, misuse, or failure to provide adequate protection.


5. Service Termination and Equipment Retrieval

5.1 Either party may terminate the service by providing at least 7 days’ notice.

5.2 Upon termination, the Provider reserves the right to retrieve all leased equipment within a reasonable timeframe.

5.3 If the Client:

  • Refuses to return leased equipment,

  • Denies access for retrieval, or

  • Returns equipment in a damaged condition,

the Provider shall be entitled to:

  • Invoice the Client for the replacement cost of each item,

  • Pursue legal recovery of its property, and/or

  • Report the matter to relevant authorities as unauthorized possession of property.


6. Acceptable Use

6.1 The Client agrees to use the Service lawfully and responsibly.

6.2 Prohibited activities include:

  • Use of the Service for illegal or malicious purposes,

  • Unauthorized redistribution or reselling of bandwidth,

  • Excessive bandwidth abuse that impacts network quality.


7. Service Availability and Limitation of Liability

7.1 While the Provider strives to deliver stable and continuous service, no guarantee is made regarding uninterrupted connectivity.

7.2 The Provider shall not be held liable for:

  • Service interruptions beyond its control,

  • Data loss, equipment damage, or indirect losses arising from service downtime.


8. Amendment of Terms

8.1 The Provider reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.

8.2 Updated terms shall be communicated via email, website posting, or direct notice to the Client.


9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.


10. Acceptance

By subscribing to or using Taprap’s services, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Terms of Service.
